The first game released by Nintendo's American development team, Nintendo Software Technologies. Bionic Commando: Elite Forces is an updated version of the classic NES Capcom game where your character not only has to solve missions and shoot enemies, but also navigate levels by means of a bionic grappling-hook arm.
Commander Joe has been captured by enemy forces, and so there seems to be no hope for the future of a world in peace. Enter the Bionic Commando Elite Forces, specially trained operatives of the grappling-hook-arm variety. They agree to go behind enemy lines and save Joe, while also destroying the intentions of the enemy army.
Choose from a male or female character, and start your adventure. You move from battle to battle by means of a map, allowing new routes to be opened should you find secret messages in the stages. You will be given missions on your way, such as contacting other operatives, intercepting enemy transmissions, accessing enemy bases, etc. Completing your missions as you go will usually lead you to a boss enemy who must be defeated before you can continue. You must also find items and upgrades to your equipment along the way or else you may fail your missions.
