Doshin the Giant

One of the games released alongside the 64DD addon, Doshin the Giant is a God sim. Every morning as the sun rises, a yellow giant named Doshin rises from the sea and moves onto Barudo island. He has to satisfy the four races on the island by performing tasks for them such as levelling land for them to build on or removing obstacles. The villagers send their gratitude in the form of hearts, which make Doshin grow bigger and stronger.

With the flick of a switch, Doshin can transform into the red, devil-like Jashin, able to destroy villagers and their land. When in Jashin form, Their hate (in the form of skulls) will help to make you bigger.

As Doshin increases in size, he can gain more powers to help the villagers. However, at the end of each day, the sun sets and you are reborn the next day at your original size.

When you provide the villagers with a flower, they will build a monument in your honour. The four different colours of villager will build different monuments, and mixed villages in different combinations will build different ones again. Your ultimate aim is to have the villagers build all of the different monuments possible.

Gamecube Version

The game was remade on the Gamecube with improved graphics. The ultimate aim of the game is exactly the same as in the 64DD version.

Doshin the Giant: Rescue From the Front by the Tinkling Toddlers at the Great Hall

This bizarre expansion disk only works when played in conjunction with the 64DD version of Doshin the Giant. Your silhouetted character falls asleep and dreams of the Doshin Exhibition '96. Your aim is to build 17 pavilions inside the exhibition and complete tasks from the Queen Companions in order to earn enough hearts to help the imprisoned Doshin escape.

To build pavilions you must switch back to Doshin the Giant and make sure you have built the corresponding monument. When you have accomplished this, eject and put this disc back in and your pavilion will start being built. Before it is finished, talk to the Queen Companion to get another task to complete in Doshin. This task is often quite strange, and again requires you to switch disks to complete. Complete each task and you will get a fraction of a scrawled 2D movie to watch.

One of your abilities is "tinkling" hearts. By tinkling hearts on the imprisoned Doshin, he will grow, and eventually escape. You can also tinkle people with hearts to greet them and earn minigames to complete.
