Donkey Kong has gone missing, so Diddy Kong and Dixie Kong set out towards the Kremling hideout on Crocodile Isle to find their friend.
While the game features many of the same locations as Donkey Kong Country 2, the levels themselves are different. Only one Kong appears at any one time (so team-up moves are no longer possible), but you can still find Animal Buddies and members of the Kong Family who will offer to help you, for a price.
Clear each of the stages and fight the bosses at the end of each world in order to reach Kaptain K. Rool at the top of Crocodile Isle.

Cranky's Hall of Video Game Heroes returns from Donkey Kong Country 2, positioning you based on how many DK Coins you have collected. In this game, you can't be worse than third-place, so only Mario and Yoshi from the Mario series appear on the podium.
