Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong have gone missing in the Northern Kremisphere once again, and it's up to Dixie Kong and Kiddy Kong to face King K. Rool and the mad machine KAOS.
While the game is based on Donkey Kong Country 3, the stages are all-new. Because only one character appears on screen at a time, team-up abilities have been removed. Animal buddies and members of the Kong family appear to help.
The US version was released for the Game Boy in 1997, but Japan received a Game Boy Color exclusive version of the game in 2000.

One of the in the first world is called "Miller Instinct", a reference to Rare's fighting game series, Killer Instinct.
