Information

Rhythm-Action isn't a genre Nintendo has ever stepped into before, and now is not really an exception. Rather they have handed over the Donkey Kong license to Namco who have developed an unusual drum beating game.

Each region (Japan, America, Europe) comes with its own range of songs chosen for those regions. Some are from popular TV shows, some from Nintendo games, and many popular music songs, both old and new. The game comes packed with a set of electronic GameCube Bongos, which you must beat in time to the music as it appears on the screen. You can hit the left drum, right drum, both drums, or clap. Play against a second player (with a second set of drums) to see who get the best score.

The game also comes packed with minigames, letting you control Donkey Kong (and his friends) by hitting the drum.

Several songs in this game are taken from other Nintendo games. Each regional release has its own track list, so some of the cameo songs are only available in certain regions.
