Information

Far in the future, after years of intergalactic trade and prosperity had led to complacency and a desire for action, a new extreme racing sport was invented. F-Zero quickly became the most popular sport in the galaxy, attracting fans from every planet. The race courses were built on anti-gravity tracks high above the land, and the racers were powered with ever faster engines. Soon, racers (both savoury and unsavoury) had signed up to win the coveted F-Zero cup.

There are four main racers (your choice) you can choose from, as well as many filler racers. You must complete five laps, each time crossing the line at a certain place in the lineup. If you fall behind then your car is disqualified and you must start over. You can also fall from the track, and explode if your energy is depleted. You can lose energy by hitting other cars or the track's walls, and you can regain energy by running over the pink Pit Stop strip.

The Grand Prix mode has four cups and three difficulty levels, affecting the AI racers. There is also a Practice Mode where you can practice each circuit, and even aim for the highest lap and course times. These will be recorded to the cart.
