Information

You play as John Raimi, specialist operative in biological and chemical agents. You are called to follow a crack team into the labs of the Volks Corporation where an undercover operative has uncovered a dangerous biological weapon. In the process, however, John is captured and his soul ripped from his body and stored in a virtual world. Escaping with the help of a ghostly boy, John's task is to bring down the Volks Corporation from within.

As a ghost, John weakens as time passes, only able to restore his strength by draining the life from plants or by using his ghostly form to possess objects and creatures. You can only possess a creature (including humans) by scaring them first, usually by haunting nearby objects and using their unique abilities to scare. Scaring humans gives you access to any weapons they may hold, but you will not always be required to use them. Working out how best to progress from one area to the next - either by solving a possession puzzle, or by wild gunfire - is how you work your way through the bulk of the story.

The game also comes packed with a range of multiplayer options, each using the unique ghostly powers of the game. In one mode, rather than collect weapons you collect hosts until they die. In another, the ghosts are against ghost-dispatching gun-wielding humans.
