Another baseball game published by Nintendo, and promoted by Ken Griffey Jr. This time development is in the hands of Angel Studios. The team has tried to stick fairly close to other Ken Griffey Jr. games - rather than filling the game with statistics and management, Slugfest just lets you play, and gives you an understandable control system.
The aim, as always, is to choose a team (several MLBA teams are available to play) and come up against an opponent. It is decided to bats first. If you're batting, hit the baseball as hard as you can and run as far around the infield as you can, using bases as safety points. If you're pitching and fielding, try to throw the ball so your opponent misses it. If the ball is hit, you take control of the fielders who have to catch the ball and return it to the infield.
The game comes with a multiplayer mode, a choice of controller options, and running commentary throughout your games - from Ken Griffey Jr. and more.
