A dark Meta Knight has broken into the Labyrinth of Mirrors and shattered the Great Mirror. The shards have become lost in the labyrinth and when Kirby heads in to investigate, he is split into four by the Dark Meta Knight. Now the four Kirbys must recover the mirror pieces together.
Kirby can suck, float through the air and absorb the abilities of his enemies. He can now also call upon the help of three computer-controlled Kirbys using his cell phone. They can be used to hit switches, tackle enemies and solve puzzles at any time.
Kirby also has several new abilities, including Angel, Magician and Rocket.
During the game, you face a miniboss named Master Hand, a giant hand who originally appeared as the final boss in Super Smash Bros. and Super Smash Bros. Melee.
Later in the game, you have to face a boss battle against Master Hand and the insane Crazy Hand, who was also one of the bosses in Super Smash Bros. Melee.
Smash Ability
After defeating Master Hand or Crazy Hand, you can inhale them for the Smash ability. This gives Kirby a huge variety of attacks, based on his moveset in Super Smash Bros. Melee.
Master Ability
During the final boss battle, and thereafter available from the level select screen, you can equip a glowing golden sword and gain the "Master" ability.
This is based on the Master Sword from The Legend of Zelda series. Kirby's ability icon even seems to be a parody of Link after he pulls the sword, but with Kirby in his place.
