When a bunch of weasels kidnap Pluto the dog, Disney's biggest stars leap into racing cars to catch them and rescue Mickey's beloved pet.
The aim is to race the Grand Prix around four American locations where you get points based on your position when you complete three laps of a circuit. The winner of the trophy is the character with the most points at the end of the four tracks. There are three difficulty levels for each Grand Prix mode, and they must all be completed if you ever want to get Pluto back.
Typical of cartoon racers, the track is littered with Mickey tokens (collecting 20 will incrementally improve your speed) and item boxes that you can use to pelt your opponents, zoom ahead, or even become temporarily invincible.
The game comes with Time Trials, multiplayer, practice modes, and plenty of unlockable cheats, secret tracks and characters. Perhaps Rare's finest achievement in the game, however, was making Mickey's ears point forward no matter what direction he is facing. Just like the cartoons!
