Information

A 3D Pokémon battle game. You have to battle through a series of trainers in a variety of Cups in order to face the gym leaders.

In most modes, you select six Pokémon at the start, and select three to take with you into battle. Choosing a range of Pokémon with different skills to counter any opposition is key to victory. In some Cups you can only take certain Pokémon into battle, such as unevolved Pokémon, or Pokémon that are under a certain level. Using the Game Boy Transfer Pak (included with the game) you can use the Pokémon you have trained in the Game Boy games.

You can play multiplayer battles against friends in the Stadium, take part in a variety of minigames, and play your Pokémon games on the big screen at the Game Boy Tower. You can even unlock high-speed Game Boy Tower so you can train your Pokémon even faster.

Versions

Two versions of the game exist. The first game released in Japan was only compatible with Pokémon Red/Green and Blue. The second version was also compatible with Pokémon Yellow.

The second version was the game released worldwide. In Japan it was released under the title Pokémon Stadium 2.
