Nintendo's greek-themed action game was considered a sister title to the Metroid series, but it was not as long-lasting. The mixture of game styles was impressive, starting out with a long tower climb, followed up by a Zelda-style dungeon maze. There were mini challenges hidden away in each level, and the latter stages took the form of a side-scrolling shooter. The second game followed the same trend, only this time on the Game Boy. Pit, the hero, shared the spotlight as one of Nintendo's premiere stars for a while, even starring in the Captain N TV series. Why the series has never been revived, despite the roaring public demand for it, is a mystery.
