Essentially a remake of Famicom Wars, released exclusively over the Nintendo Power download system in Japan. The game introduces many interface elements that have gone on to become integral to the worldwide success of the later games in the series.
Alongside the stages that were available in the first game, there is a large selection of new maps for 2-Player and 4-Player campaigns. The 4-player mode introduces the Green Earth and Yellow Comet armies, and before you play you can decide which armies you are fighting against.
