Nintendo 3DS

The Nintendo 3DS is the latest in Nintendo's line of handheld videogame systems, following on from the Nintendo DS line. The system retains the touch screen, camera and dual-screen functionality of the DS, and adds the capability of displaying stereoscopic 3D graphics without the need for glasses.

The Nintendo 3DS uses the serial code CTR for its hardware. It isn't precisely known what this code stands for, but the most likely suggestion is "Century".

The Start, Select and Home buttons are all integrated into the border around the screen.

The top half features a widescreen capable of displaying stereoscopic 3D images, as well as one camera above the screen and two cameras facing outward for taking 3D images. To the right of the screen is a slider control for altering the depth of 3D effect.

The system accepts Nintendo DS and 3DS games, and features an SD Card slot for saving data.
