Hardware
The Wii U and its controller were revealed at E3 2011. While the system is capable of high resolution graphics, the innovation is the controller, featuring a second touch screen and a camera, allowing for new ways to play.

The Wii U Controller features a large touch screen, two analogue Control Sticks, a + Directional Pad, six face buttons, 2 shoulder buttons and 2 triggers, plus Power and Home buttons. The controller is able to display games on the screen, as well as providing additional interaction options for games.
An updated Zapper for the Wii U was also shown, featuring a clip for the Wii U controller.
