The Wii U and its controller were revealed at E3 2011. While the system is capable of high resolution graphics, the innovation is the controller, featuring a second touch screen and a camera, allowing for new ways to play.

The sixth Nintendo home console is capable of generating high resolution 3D graphics as well as featuring full compatibility with all Wii games and hardware.

The Wii U Controller features a large touch screen, two analogue Control Sticks, a + Directional Pad, six face buttons, 2 shoulder buttons and 2 triggers, plus Power and Home buttons. The controller is able to display games on the screen, as well as providing additional interaction options for games.

An updated Zapper for the Wii U was also shown, featuring a clip for the Wii U controller.
